Catalysis is a core discipline in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. We contribute to education at ETH Zurich in various ways, equipping both undergraduate and graduate students with the necessary skills to tackle the grand challenges toward a sustainable society.

We offer research projects and Master theses enabling students to undertake their first original investigations in a pioneering topic in catalysis. While closely supported by group members, they are guided to operate independently, taking responsibility and developing a critical approach, and to effectively disclose their results through both a report and a seminar. We also support research stays abroad and have strong contacts with leading groups worldwide. These experiences help in the definition of an attractive career path.
